In this video, I introduce my new “Quick Hitters” series, which I created based on your feedback for short, focused videos that answer one specific question.
I tackle a question I recently got from a client: “How can I view the ETF league tables to see only actively managed issuers, separated from passive funds?”
I start by showing the main league table dashboard, which includes all 4,600+ ETFs and is naturally dominated by the “Big Three”—BlackRock, Vanguard, and State Street. Then, I demonstrate how to use our Navigator tool to apply a simple filter that removes all passive products.
The result is a completely different and much more diversified market share chart, showing the true leaders in the active-only space, like Dimensional, JPMorgan, and Capital Group. I also quickly show how the asset class breakdown looks very different once you isolate these actively managed funds.
Have a question you’d like answered in a future Quick Hitter? Drop us a line here and we will try to feature it in a future video!
